2015 McPherson Cellars EVS Windblown
Region: Texas High Plains, North Texas, Texas, United States of America
Tasting Note:October 17, 2017
First Texan wine for us ever and perfect for #TexasWineMonth.
Medium purplish red, definitely from the bigger varietals in the blend. Light nose with a touch of candied berries, a touch woody and lavender. Balanced alcohol and acidity. Light plus bodied with notes of white pepper, dark berries, spices and black cherries. Medium length finish. Would not of guessed Texas if tasted blind.
Interesting blend made up of 25% Mourvedre, 25% Petite Sirah, 23% Carignan, 18% Syrah and 9% Grenache.
