2005 Chappellet Signature Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep and dark garnet red with slight bricking on the edges. Stewed dark berries and brambles on the nose. Additionally there are some meaty and stinky undertones. Moderate tannins (6/10) and full bodied. Some chalkiness and soft dark fruits, plums, on the palate. Some secondary and tertiary undertones, especially of truffles. Long and lingering finish. Still seems like the tannins have not fully integrated.

Cabernet-based blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec
