Beautiful Carignan from the Trimble Vineyard in Mendocino County. Crimson red with medium intensity leading to lighter edges. Enticing nose with lots of white pepper, purple floral notes and some light purple berries. Light tannins (4.5/10) and great acidity (6/10). Lots of floral notes and red cherries, lively and refreshing. Full bodied, elegant, lively and delicious. Perfect example of what is happening to Carignan in the USA.

First Carignan made from Two Shepherds, from the Trimble Vineyard in Mendocino. Aged for nine months in neutral French oak barrels. Only 125 cases produced.
