Sixth wine and fifth one from Howell Mountain and a curveball for this evenings wines. Garnet red with a low intensity around the rim. Dark chocolate, a little creme de cassis and light candied fruit on the nose. Slight cigarettes too. Moderate tannins (6/10) with quite a bit of acidity and moderate body. Definitely more going on in the nose than the palate. Moderate plus finish. Would be interesting to see what happens in a year or so but would drink within the next 4.
