Tasting Note:April 29, 2016

Inaugural bottling of the Diamond Mountain Cabernet. Ruby red with light intensity on the edges. Nose was very feminine and coated with red cherries and floral notes. Moderate tannins (5.5/10) and a light plus to moderate body. Definitely thinner than expected. Elegant palate. Moderate finish with a slightly tangy bite. Maybe needs a little more time to develop in the bottle. Will try the next one in a year or two. But if it does not change drink till 2019.

Made by Grant Long Jr. of Aonair Wines. Aged in 50% new French oak.
