2012 Azienda Agricola La Greggia Fontanaccio
Region: Chianti, Tuscany, Italy
Tasting Note:February 7, 2016
Least favorite of the three, but still a solid Tuscan Blend that has the acidity and body to last a few more years. Garnet red with a brownish hue around the edges. Initially was very tight on the nose. Started to open up with a few notes of blackberries and light olives. Soft start with slight cassis notes on the palate. Moderate tannins (5/10) and strong acidity, needs a little more time to balance out. The strong acidity carries through the entire finish. Crisp and refreshing. Great food wine, definitely has a fuller body than the Moraie.
