2010 Mira Winery Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine was dark and opaque garnet red.We love the black pepper on the nose. There was also some dark fruits like plum or black cherries. As it aired out it gained a savory note. Dark chocolate and black cherry on the palate. Strong tannins (7.5/10), with medium acidity that would be nice if it integrated a little more, and full bodied. Dryish start with long lingering finish. Definitely needs some time to fully open up, especially the nose. We might have to grab another one to try in a few years, this definitely had the potential to improve a couple points. Just found out that Mira means miracle in Latin, they are doing some wondrous things with these miracles!
Red blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Syrah.
