Tasting Note:January 1, 2016

Deep and dark ruby red. Love the nose on this Shiraz. Lots of meaty/gamey notes like salami or prosciutto. Smoked meat too. Beautiful palate with caramel and vanilla in the attack, but then goes bone dry in a very long and lingering finish. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Just as delicious as tasting at the estate two weeks ago. Definitely a wine that you can cellar for the long hall. Absolutely delicious.

Made of 100% Shiraz from one of the unique vineyards on the Estate with very little soil. Of the soil there majority is brown ferrous stone covered by a fine layer of clay. Aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak Alliers (225 liters). Only 550 bottles produced.

Slightly better than the Stork. Deep ruby red. Tight nose with chalk, and blackberries. Love the palate, insanely dry and delicious. Tons of dark fruits with a furry texture, almost a sandpaper like texture. THis can easily last another ten to fifteen years.
