Tasting Note:June 18, 2016

Eighth wine at Oakton this afternoon and last red. Dark garnet red with some browning on the edges. A lot is going on with the nose, started off a little stinky with some barnyard funk, greenery and some dirt. Some additional undertones of red cherries and green peppers. Great texture on the palate with heavy tannins (8/10) and a ton of red cherries and light vegetal note. Full bodied and long finish. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Grenache. Stunning wine.
