2016 Addax Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills

Estate: Addax Wines

Region: Santa Rita Hills, Central Coast, California, United States of America

Tasting Note:May 27, 2018

Deep and dark ruby red with purplish hues. A touch creamy on the nose with purple flowers, roses, strawberries, twigs, dark red berries and cinnamon. Balanced tannins (6/10) and mouthwatering acidity (6.5/10) with a full body. A bit jammy in a good way on the palate with an underlying richness of spices, toasty elements, flowers, black fruits and red berries. Long and lingering finish.

Second stop on day three and finally made it to Napa. We tasted through some wines from Standard Deviation Wines and Addax Wines with Josh and Cheryl at Brasswood. Next up for Addax Wines is the Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir from Rita's Crown Vineyard. Only 75 cases produced. Made by Russell Bevan.
