Tasting Note:September 29, 2018

Dark mix of ruby and garnet. Mix of black and red berries on the nose with some baking spices. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium plus bodied. Layered palate with Asian five spice, black currents and crushed purple flowers. Long finish.


Fourth wine in the VIP tasting lounge during the Cape Winemakers Guild Auction and second still red wine. This is made up of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Merlot by Miles Mossop from the Bottelary region in Stellenbosch. Aged for a total of 22 months in 33% new French oak. Only 130 cases produced with 20 being auctioned in 2018 and 60 auctioned in 2013.p>
