Medium to deep garnet red with some brick edges. Classis SA funk on the nose with some chalk, barnyard, and some forest floor. Additional layers of cherries and floral notes with some air. Balanced acidity, medium tannins (6/10) and medium to medium plus body. Some cherries on the palate with undertones of earthiness and forest floor. A touch of dark cocoa as well. Medium plus to long finish.
Made up of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Shiraz. Aged for 18 months in 70% new French oak barrels.
