2010 Château Canon

Deep and dark ruby red with some garnet edges. Dark fruits on the nose with black cherries and cranberries. A touch of dustiness too. Moderate tannins (6/10) and full bodied. Complex palate with notes of leather, black currants and dark gravel. Dry and long finish.
Since this wine estate is from the Right Bank of Bordeaux it is not classified in the Official Classification of 1855. Within the St. Émilion's classification system, Château Canon, is classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé. This Bordeaux blend is made up of 75% Merlot, and 25% Cabernet Franc. Aged for around 18 months in 70% new French oak. Fun fact also owned by the Chanel Group.
