Tasting Note:November 6, 2017

Perfect for International Merlot Day on 11/7/2017. Dark ruby red with some garnet too. Integrated nose with some savory elements, pepper, toasty, and dried berries. A touch of cinnamon too. Well integrated medium tannins (6/10) and medium to medium plus body. Layered palate with blackberries, a touch savory, earthy, dark cocoa, dark berries and a little gravel. Long and lingering finish.


One of the two Merlots made at L'Ecole Nº 41. This is their Walla Walla Valley bottling with fruit coming from the Seven Hills Estate Vineyard (76%) and the Ferguson Estate Vineyard (24%). Made up of 80% Merlot with equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Aged for 18 months in 40% new French oak barrels. 1,060 cases produced.
