1995 Zaca Mesa Syrah Zaca Vineyards

Estate: Zaca Mesa
Region: Santa Barbara County, Central Coast, California, United States of America
Vineyard: Zaca Vineyards

Tasting Note:October 29, 2017

Medium garnet red with lighter edges and a bit fine sediment. A bit gamey to start on the nose with some red berries, a touch floral and savory. Got better with some air. Medium tannins (5/10) and light plus to medium bodied. Some solid Syrah characteristics with strawberries, forest floor, some darker red berries, spices and gravel. Medium length finish. Good pairing with dry aged sirloin.

Second time to Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa and perfect place for our 8th year anniversary. We asked our somm, Jack, that we wanted to be surprised with something under $100.00. Great wine to pair with our dry aged sirloin. Made up of 90% Syrah and 10% Viognier
