2015 Kale Wines Heritage McGah Vineyard

Medium garnet red with a ruby hue. Sweet spices, rhubarb, floral but not light, strawberries, actually lots of spices, and the intensity grows with air. A ton more savory too than the 2014. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium plus bodied. Spicy, white and black pepper, floral, cocoa leaves, and dark red berries on the palate. Darker on day two and a touch savory. Less heat than the 2014. Long and dry finish.
This is the Rhone blend from the McGah Vineyard in Rutherford. The 2015 vintage is made up of 87% Grenache, and 13% Mourvédre. Only 97 cases produced and 15.5% alcohol.
