NV Conte d'Attimis-Maniago Friuli Ribula

Estate: Conte d'Attimis-Maniago

Region: Friuli, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy

Tasting Note:November 20, 2016

Clear and pale straw yellow with moderate liveliness. Nice nose with some woody notes, lemon/citrus and green apples. Moderate acidity (5/10) and very refreshing and crisp. Very balanced with a few different layers, starting a little nutty, then rolls into citrus and minerality. Medium bodied with a moderate length finish. Great value and very interesting new varietal for us.

White wine blend of 60% Ribolla Gialla and 40% Pinot Biano that is made using the Charmat method. The Charmat method forces secondary fermentation to occur within a stainless steel tank proir to bottling. The vineyard used within this bottling is from the Sottomonte Estate in Buttrio which is a part of the Eastern Friuli Hills C.D.O.
