2012 Scalon Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep ruby red. A bit tight to start on the nose, with notes of black cherries, floral herbs and a bit smokey. Moderate tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Palate was a bit savory with a good bit of red berries. Dark gravel in the long and lingering finish.
Made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville. All from the Scalon Vineyard. Aged for 20 months in 100% new French oak, unfined and unfiltered. Only 235 cases produced.

$$$ - Can be purchased for $85.00, from the Estate.Deep and dark ruby red. Tons of berries on the palate; blueberries, blackberries and bramble berries. A little perfumey too. Balanced with bright acidity, moderate tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Thick palate, mixed with red and black fruits. Long and lingering finish that needs a little more time to breath.

Super fruity with lots of cassis, blackberries, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Super extracted and voluptuous mouthfeel. Thick dark fruits that carry on through the long finish.
