2013 Roots Pinot Noir Yamhill Springs Vineyard

Last of the three Pinot Noirs sent to us by Chris. Strong garnet red, clearer than the Carlton Hills. Nose started off with some slight heat that wore off into strong floral notes (stronger than the Carlton Hills), red cherries, geranium and some raspberries. Lovely and very inviting. Lots of red fruits and berries on the palate, with a texture similar to cherry cola. Bright and crisp moderate plus acidity (7.5/10) that definitely puckers your mouth quite a bit. Moderate body, fuller than the Carlton Hills. Long and lingering finish with some tart cherry acidity. Definitely the youngest of the group and needs some time to fully open up.
