2014 Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

Insanely dark with ruby red hues throughout. Complex nose with some power behind it. Notes of blueberries, dark raspberries, cocoa and a little bit of mint. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Lush and layered palate exhibiting notes of black plums, blackberries, cinnamon, black cherries, tea bags, raspberries, dark spices and gravel. Long and lingering finish.


First winery on day three traveling from Sonoma to Napa Valley was Pride Mountain Vineyards with Paul. The next red wine is the Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve with fruit coming their oldest blocks from both Sonoma (66%) and Napa (34%) Counties. This bottling is made up of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot. Only 1,546 cases produced.
