2014 Witchery Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon

Second of the blind Witchery Wines we are reviewing today.
Deep and dark purplish ruby red. Lots of oak influence on the nose with sweet spices, dark cocoa and dark berries. Heavy tannins (7/10) and medium bodied. Notes of black cherries, hint of minerality, dark cocoa and other sweet spices on the palate. Gained some herbal notes with air.
Made by Grant Long Jr. of Aonair Wines. This is aged for 23 months in 70% new French oak. Blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. Only 150 cases produced and 14.6% alcohol.
