2012 Durant & Booth Chardonnay

Light to medium gold yellow. Thick nose with buttery notes, toast oak and some tight sweet spices. Heavy acidity (7.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Layered palate with rich notes and a bit nutty. Ripe tropical notes, yet still fresh with quite a bit of oak influence and baked apples. Long finish.
This is made up of 100% Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley. Aged for 15 months (13 of which are on the lees) in 58% new French oak, and 42% used French oak. Only 280 cases produced.
