2014 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection
Region: Napa Valley, North Coast, California, United States of America
At least we found this out before we left the Harmony of the Seas this year. It is either with being apart of the Star Class or having the Drinks Package that allows you to have BOGO Free with any wine by the glass at Vintages on Deck 8.
Purplish ruby red. Rich nose with lots of licorice, vanilla, blueberries, cinnamon, touch of smoke and a bit of gravel. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Rich and plush palate with layers of blueberries, black fruits, dark cocoa, and cinnamon. Long finish.
This is definitely started to integrate a bit more compared to the bottles we had on the Allure of the Seas. Not as sweet and jammy (loaded with more fruit than the servings you should be having each day), but with some dark characteristics underneath the fruit. Would be very interesting to see how this develops in five or so years.
2017 till 2032.

Deep and dark purplish ruby red. Thick and layered nose of blueberries, vanilla and spices. Medium plus to heavy tannins (6.5/10) and full bodied. Similar notes on the palate with vanilla and dark berries. Long and lingering finish.

Deep and dark purplish ruby red, completely coats the glass. Plump and rich aromas on the nose with blueberries, vanilla, cinnamon, blackberries and even some purple flowers. Rounded and integrated heavy tannins (7/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Love the blue and black fruits on the palate of this wine. Long and lingering finish.

$$$$ - Purchased on the Allure of the Seas for $125.67.The cruise continues! Night eight aboard the Allure of the Seas and 50% off all wines. Opus was way too young so we grabbed this.
Deep purplish ruby red. Layered nose with notes of blue and black berries, cinnamon, vanilla, silky spices and cola. Love the explosion that just hammered my senses. Heavy and rounded tannins (7/10) with a medium plus to full body. Rich and voluptuous, literally fruit bomb with blue and black fruits and an undertone of silky dark spices. Long and lingering finish.
