Deep and dark purplish ruby red. High intensity on the nose with tons of black and blue fruits, especially boysenberry and well structured. A touch savory on the attack, thick and rich on the palate. Heavy tannins (8.5/10) and full bodied. Rich black fruits and long finish. (94+ points)

Barrel tasting Rudius Wines at Hunnicutt with David Grega. Still has around one to three months left in barrel before bottling. Will end up being between 30 months and 32 months of aging in around 70% new French oak. Love these wines by Jeff Ames and David Grega. Same aging as the Cabernet Franc.
