2013 Chimney Rock Cabernet Sauvignon Tomahawk Vineyard
Third red wine at Table #1 at Oakton Wine Shops Bucket List Tasting.
Dark purplish ruby red that completely coats the glass. A bit mute to start on the nose, with petrol to start with some tight dark berries. Heavy tannins (7/10) and solid acidity. Quite a bit of oak on the palate with red cherries, touch of earth, and twigs. Medium plus to full bodied. Very dry and long finish. Needs a little more time to fully develop.

$$$$ - Current price is $155.00.Deep and opaque ruby red. Cherry cola on the nose with a bit of dark and black raspberries. Great structure and high acidity. Heavy tannins (8/10) with not much fruit. Full bodied with herbal notes and a stoney super dry finish.

Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and great acidity. Good structure with plush dark fruits, dark cherries and black currants. Full bodied with a long and lingering finish.
