2013 Judge Palmer Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage Select

Deep and dark ruby red. A touch savory on the nose with leather, woody, dark fruits, anise, black cherries and slight twigs. Moderate tannins (6/10) and silky. Medium plus bodied with dark fruits, baking spices, black currants, black cherries, cinnamon, vanilla and a little mineral. Slightly dry with a medium plus finish.


Fruit for this bottling comes from multiple vineyards throughout the North Coast of California, a large portion from the Ellis Alden Vineyard in Alexander Valley with a little bit of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Baldwin and Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyards. Additionally, a bit of Malbec comes from the Blau Vineyard. Made of Cabernet Sauvignon and a little Malbec. This was aged for 24 months in 50% new French oak.
