2016 Haskell Vineyards Anvil Chardonnay

Light golden yellow. A warm and creamy nose with layers of green apples and butterscotch. Bright and medium plus acidity (7/10). Well balanced with a medium plus bodied. Fresh palate with granny smith apples, citrus zest, white flowers and a touch of oak, not as much as the nose. Long and crisp finish.
First white wine tasted at Haskell Vineyards. This bottling is made up of 100% Chardonnay from vines planted in 1988 and spends 10 months in French oak. 50% of which is first fill and the rest split between 2nd and 3rd fill. Only 1700 bottles produced. Bottle number 1367.
