2012 Judge Palmer Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage Select

Estate: Judge Palmer Wine Co.

Region: Sonoma County, California, United States of America

Tasting Note:August 16, 2016

Love the Cabernet Sauvignons being made by Palmer, this wine is no exception. Excellent value made of 85% from Alexander Valley and 15% from Beckstoffer Georges III. Dark ruby with purplish hues. Tons of fruit on the nose, black and blue berries. Very inviting! Moderate tannins (5.5/10) loaded with baking spices like cinnamon and vanilla. Super extracted and silky. Fruit added in a bit with some time. Medium plus body with a long and lingering finish.

Fruit for this bottling comes from multiple vineyards throughout the North Coast of California, a large portion from the Baldwin Vineyard in Alexander Valley. Made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 24 months in 50% new French oak.
