Dark and deep ruby red. Tons of red fruits and a bit of cinnamon on the nose. Soft attack but lush too and layered in spices and red fruits. Great structure and pretty rounded. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Slightly dry and long finish. All from the Caldwell Vineyard.

First off this needs time to develop further. Not as beautiful as when we had it at the estate in August. Deep ruby red. Layered nose with dark cocoa, dark berries, light baking spices and a little herbs in the finish. Lots of red berries on the palate, both cherries and raspberries. Almost a cherry liquor with a slightly savory long finish. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Acidity needs some time to balance out, needed a longer decant.

Brand new bottling under Julien Fayard at Scalon Cellars. Dark ruby red completely coats the glass. A ton of baking spices and dark berries on the nose. Completely Cab Franc finish and stunningly long. Heavy tannins (8/10) absolutely delicious with a great structure and backbone. So full. Adding this to our allocation. Drink till 2035.
